A couple wanted all the loungey comfort of a family room – outdoors; to enjoy days and evenings with their children and three dogs and also to entertain. Peabody’s Lisa Anne Minneti devised a tiered layout, creating zones for lounging, dining and cooking, making each one distinct yet cohesive and as beautiful and comfortable as possible. Starting with natural stone in a perfectly warm tone, choosing furnishings and fabrics that are interesting yet not repeated, unified by their natural character. It’s all about differing textures and touch, creating rhythm to sing with nature. Selecting cerise woods, driftwood and woven seagrass chairs. A chaise in smoky chenille bridges the gazebo and the duo dining areas beautifully. The firepit area with slipcovered seating and a tented daybed invites lounging. An organic hanging chair sets the cool Boho-vibe. The double lounger is always everyone’s favorite place to sit. Flora and fauna throw pillows and an Ombre concrete cocktail table layer rich interest. The client shared that whether it’s their family or a large gathering, it always feels relaxed and harmonious.
